Pain

Why does it hurt so much? I never thought I would be this hurt, especially by you. I never thought you would be the reason I stopped trusting others. Why does it hurt so much? what did I do to you so much that you have to hurt me this way? I love you, but do you hear the echo of pain in my heart. It is crying deeply, but I have no one to go to. You used to be the person there for me, but now you are the reason I am hurt. When will you stop hurting me?

Chapter 1: The Conversation

"I love you" is a phrase with a deep, complicated meaning. It symbolizes the commitment between two people; an invisible circle...

"Hello, my name is Dustin!" A boy said to a girl who just entered the classroom.
The girl said, "Hi, my name is Lindsay, nice to meet you." A simple conversation led these two strangers into each other's worlds.
Dustin was the entitled class clown. He would try his best to capture others' laughter and seemed to always have a warm and welcoming smile on his face. As Dustin gazed upon Lindsay, he could see she had long brown hair and brown eyes that glimmered like the reflections of a moonlit lake on a winter's night. Despite her approachable beauty, Lindsay was afraid to interact with others. She did not speak to others unless spoken to. Dustin went up to Lindsay because he saw that Lindsay was alone in her seat writing, he was also attracted by how pretty she was. He tried to have more conversations with her, but the words wouldn't come out because he was nervous. He never had a problem talking to others because they always came up to him, but this time it was different. The girl that he was attracted to put him in a difficult situation. He stood there awkwardly while staring at Lindsay, her face blushed and smiled at him, and then she left. Dustin felt stupid as soon as she left, because he wasn't brave enough to even continue the conversation that would start their friendship. He stomped his feet while walking back to his seat, angry at himself for not having the courage. As soon as he sat down in his seat, the only thing he could think of was Lindsay's face, and the smile she had when she was introducing herself. He wondered if she was also interested in him as he was interested in her, he fell asleep to his thoughts....
